#AVAST SAFEZONE BROWSER DISABLE INSTALL#
Also I'm kinda lacking the personal motivation since my Windows install managed to avoid this debacle entirely, and I spend 95% of my time on Linux or MacOS these days anyway. Also, the browser prevents hackers’ attacks and thus it keeps your data. Its built-in security layers add privacy to your browsing experience so you can securely feed your sensitive information like a home address or contact number while shopping online. I have been tinkering with a full, detailed post, a kind of compilation of community concerns with the intention of asking certain questions of Avast (and particularly, of whoever ultimately signs off on these cynical design decisions) but I'm still working on it in the background inbetween more pressing matters, and I'd have to do a fair bit more research to ensure I'm totally fair to all parties. With Avast SafeZone Browser, you can safely browse, shop, or can even continue banking. I did consider (as a moderator here) starting a megathread to consolidate these kinds of posts but that would just make it easier for Avast to ignore your concerns. The company's SafeZone browser, based on Chromium, allowed attackers to read any file on the system by getting users to click on links.
Not that I'm saying I object to any of these posts, in fact I hold exactly the opposite view. The latest company that Google contacted about security issues found in their products is Avast. I'd been getting into the habit of copypasting a series of related links in response to the Avast browser posts but honestly there are so many now, you just need to take one look at the front page of r/avast :( This has been a common theme here for months now, in fact there are posts on the Avast forum dating back to 2016 with concerns over the unsolicited installation of their browser. *sigh* yeah you are definitely not alone in your opinion here.
